Flexitrips is sold in blocks of bus 'Trips' (travel sector/journey), allowing you to travel on regular InterCity, Newmans bus and coach services or any Great Sights sightseeing journeys or a mixture of both, as many times as your travel 'Trips' allow, as long as travel is in one direction, as repeat travel between the same stops or destinations are not allowed. However you are entitled to one return journey, like a day excursion to Milford Sound.

You can create your own itinerary by downloading the Flexitrips Travel Planner and choose a travel option from a range of suggested travel itineraries or just travel when you want too.

You can search online for the necessary travel 'Trips' for each travel sector/s you would like to use and enter each travel 'Trip' on your Flexitrips Travel Planner for the North Island and South Island or just travel when you want too.

Flexitrips does not guarantee a seat on any service unless you have made travel sector/s reservation/s at least 4 hours before departure time by calling the Flexitrips Service Centre tollfree national phone number.

With Flexitrips, you can change your travel plans up to 2 hours before departure time without incurring penalties. If you cancel your journey up to 2 hours before departure and you will be refunded 100% of your 'Travel' hours back.

If you run out of travel 'Trips', you cannot top up your Flexitrips pass with additional travel 'Trips'.

Flexitrips is valid for 12 months from the date of your first 'Trip' travel sector booking, so you can stay for a while and travel when you please.

Your Flexitrips covers all of your travel components. When you book, advise Flexitrips Service Centre which of the sights or optional extras (for the entrance fees, boat cruises, etc) you'd like to take and these extras will be charged your credit/debit/prepaid card.

When using a Flexitrips pass, travel from Auckland to Waitomo and Rotoura, Rotorua to Waitomo and Auckland, Christchurch to Mt Cook and Queenstown, Queenstown to Mt Cook and Christchurch and the Paihia to Cape Reinga day excursion is is not allowed.

Travel from Auckland to Rotorua, Rotorua to Auckland, Christchurch to Queenstown, Queenstown to Christchurch using direct bus services is allowed when using a Flexitrips pass.
